What are Therapeutic Market Outlooks?

Therapeutic Market Outlook (TMO) reports are a regularly updated "deep dive" on U.S. therapeutic markets for the most dynamic disease states. Each report delivers a seven-year, patient-based U.S. revenue forecast at the level of the product (inline and pipeline), the therapeutic class, and the overall disease market. TMO reports combine a marketing executive's perspective on the salient factors influencing a product's uptake and use with the rigorously metrical perspective of a capital market analyst.

Our market models are systematic and consistent across all therapeutic areas. We develop them from a wide range of primary and secondary sources, including:

  • Portfolio performance data from proprietary AVOS databases
  • Physician panels (views, practices, and intentions) presented as interviews, surveys, conjoints
  • Worldwide product revenues based on consensus sell-side analyst forecasts
  • Unit volume, retail and list pricing, prescription data, and pipeline data from a variety of commercial databases
  • AVOS's proprietary 10-year patient population model (theoretical, addressable, treated, and compliant populations)

AVOS's established network of high-prescribing and thought-leading physicians provides product opinions, a window into current prescribing practices and emerging shifts in market share, reactions to regulatory and market events, and future prescribing intentions. Their insights are supplemented by AVOS' senior staff which bring an aggregate of 70 years of brand management, business development, managed care, new product planning, and equity research experience.

TMO data and analysis is presented in clear language and easy-to-scan charts and at a level of detail that speaks directly to the information needs of R&D, marketing and business development professionals.
